These gloves look, feel, and fit like a comfortable pair of relatively thick warm wool gloves. The rayon outer layer is tightly knitted, attractive, and appears durable. The silicone dots on the palm and fingers improve the grippiness. The inner fabric is finer mesh and appears durable as well. The unique feature is the waterproof Porelle membrane sandwiched between the inner and outer fabric layers. I immersed the gloves in various tests and my hands remained completely dry. Remarkably, this waterproof layer is just as stretchy as the fabric layers, so they feel just like normal gloves. They kept my hands warm in 30 degree weather even when wet. I have not tried them under warm conditions where perspiration might be a problem, so cannot confirm their breathability. They worked just fine while kayaking in cold water, as shown in the product video, and would likely be great for backcountry skiing as well. Wore these gloves to do yard work in about 40 F with wind blowing hard, driving a tractor and zero turn and my hands stayed warm. Cut down some banana trees that are full of water my hands never got wet. Just like the socks from this company, hands stayed at perfect temp, not to hot nor to cold. Haven’t washed them yet are wore them all that much but, so far Excellent.
