Well made. Has a good liner. I poured some water on it, and it's waterproof as it states. (See pic) I need a hat to wear when it's snowy or rainy as I like to be outdoors, and this one will definitely do the trick.

I tried this hat on a fast paced walk of 2.5 miles at about 26 degrees. my head stayed warm and did not get sweaty. The head coverage is good as I could cover down past my ears. It is a well made hat as it should be at $36. When I first tried this hat on I found it to be uncomfortably tight but I stretched it around something slightly bigger than my head over night and the next day it was fine.

Just what i was looking for and you are not aware of the waterproof layer unlike some other waterproof hats.
